Jeremy Gulbranson has been getting settled into his new position as the City of Lennox water and waste water superintendent. He took on this role in October of 2015; the position was formerly held by Roger Almond. Many in the community will remember that Almond held the job for nearly 30 years before he passed away last year.

Gulbranson is originally from northeast Minnesota. He spent ten years working in St. Paul and most recently held a position in Wagner, SD. He said he and his wife were looking to move to the area, looking forward in particular to the deer hunting opportunities. His wife, Jennifer and son Brady (age 7) and daughter Dylan (age 4) have now made their home here in Lennox.

“It’s a big change of pace… compared to St. Paul it’s a welcomed change,” Gulbranson said,

His job in St. Paul wrapped up with a large project, re-routing water mains under a proposed LRT (Light Rail Transit) train track. He said that brought him all over the place and also gave him valuable experience.

He first became interested in the water and waste water field after spending much of his life around excavating. He said, “The treatment part of it started to interest me. I wanted to learn how to treat water in a plant.”

He went to School in Bloomington, MN and earned his degree in Water Environment Technologies.
