Firemen battle fire at mobile home park

January 14, 2015

Lennox firemen battled a fire at a home in the southeast corner of Sunnyside Mobile Home Park on Tuesday afternoon.  Smoke filled the air as the firemen quickly knocked down the blaze. Chancellor and Worthing fire departments assisted.  The mobile home was a total loss. Vanessa Gibson and her three sons lived in the home. The mother and her youngest son were home at the time of the fire but escaped unharmed. The family moved to Lennox from Georgia just this last year. Pastor Sarah Hagena has set up the Gibson Family Fire Fund to help them survive this loss. Donations can be made at Valley Exchange Bank in Lennox. Donations of good, clean clothes for the boys can be left in the front entry of Faith Presbyterian Church. The boys are ages 4, 7 and 8.
