Robbery at Lennox Senior Center; Suspect caught with toy handgun


The Lennox Police Department confirmed that earlier today, Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2018 they were called to a robbery at the Lennox Senior Center around 1:30 p.m.

It was reported that the subject claimed to be armed with a handgun. Lennox Police Chief Will Ericksen said due to that fact he made the call to put the Lennox School District on lockdown.

The Lennox Police Department with the Lincoln County Deputy assisting, pursued the suspect, who fled first on a bicycle, then on foot.

After a short pursuit, the Lincoln County Deputy cornered the suspect and he was taken in to custody. The young adult male was carrying a toy handgun. Charges are pending. More details will be released as they become available.
