The Lennox Independent is the official newspaper for the Cities of Lennox and Worthing, Lincoln County and the Lennox School District.

 

The Lennox Independent is published every Thursday and is available by subscription for $50 per year in South Dakota, $60 per year out of state. The Lennox Independent will arrive in your mailbox on Thursdays. It is also available for purchase for $1.50 in Lennox at Sunshine, Casey's, Cenex Total Stop; in Chancellor at Ampride; and in Tea at Sunshine, Get N Go, Cubby's and Casey's.

 

The Lennox office is located at 116 S. Main Street, Lennox, SD. Our office is open Monday — Thursday 8:30am-12 & 1-5pm and other hours by appointment. A drop box is available outside the door that allows you to securely leave any correspondence.

 

Lennox Independent is published by Lennox Independent, LLC, which is a family business, owned by J. Louie Mullen.  The company boasts the longevity of 138 years of publishing with The Lennox Independent being established in 1884.  

 

In 2010 the organization began publication of Tea Weekly, a weekly newspaper for the community of Tea. Tea Weekly is now an official newspaper for the Tea Area School District and the City of Tea.  

 

Our focus has always been, and continues to be, great, local news coverage—not only city council meetings and new business ventures, but local columnists, births, obituaries, weddings and plenty of coverage for the home teams. We believe all of this local news should be published free of charge.
