Sanford Clinic Lennox welcomes new Family Nurse Practitioner

Pam Stewart, a certified Family Nurse Practitioner, is settling in nicely at Sanford Clinic Lennox after taking over for Physician Assistant Scott Rogers, who retired from his position at the clinic at the end of March.
Stewart completed her under-graduate and graduate work at South Dakota State University. A nurse practitioner is a registered nurse (RN) who has additional education and training in a specialty area such as family practice or pediatrics. Stewart’s specialty area is in family practice. Nurse practitioners have a master’s degree in nursing and board certification in their specialty. As a certified Family Nurse Practitioner, Stewart is able to practice independently.  Dr. Sittner is her collaborating physician.

State Champ

Zach Koosman (pictured above)ended his track and field career at Lennox High School on a high note—being crowned a State Champion. Koosman, competing in his final event at the 2013 State A Track and Field Meet on Saturday, May 25, claimed the State title jumping 6'5" in the high jump. Koosman had found continued success in the event throughout the season and was the top seed going into State. 
He also qualified for the long jump, triple jump, and in the 4x400 meter relay; those events all took place on the first day of the State Meet held in Lennox on Friday, May 24. 
Koosman, who entered the State Meet with the top jump in Class A in the triple jump, landed a solid jump at State with a jump of 42'4.75". However, Ephram Albrecht of Redfield-Doland and Brett Nichols of Dell Rapids, jumped their personal best with jumps over 44 feet, placing them one and two respectively. Koosman ended with fourth place honors in the event.
