Lennox Council approves Recreational Trail Masterplan

Lennox City Council opened the meeting on Monday night with an executive session, followed by the regular meeting.
Mayor Orville Wiebers asked that the Planning and Zoning Board Public Hearing be resumed. The hearing began at the last meeting in January and was to determine if John Carlson and Richard Schriever should be removed from the Planning and Zoning board. Carlson was removed from the board at that meeting. Although the council had voted against reinstating Schriever, Wiebers asked that the final determination on Schriever be put on hold until the next meeting.

Chancellor School property to be appraised

The Lennox School District 41-4 meet for their regular monthly board meeting Monday night. Superintendent Dr. Robert Mayer announced  that Renita Dose, Lennox Middle School Band Director was chosen as one of the School Band and Orchestra’s top 50 directors who make a difference. Mayer said, “This is a pretty big honor.”
According to the SBO website, this year’s 15th annual “50 Directors Who Make a Difference” report sheds light on exemplary teachers who run thriving, and vibrant programs in schools big and small, elementary through high school, from coast to coast.
