News update for Jan. 17 issue…


Tim Raabe named 2013 Outstanding Secondary Principal of the Year

Lennox High School students and staff were asked to gather in the LHS gymnasium on Friday morning to hear a special announcement. Superintendent Robert Mayer announced that Tim Raabe was named the 2013 Outstanding Principal of the Year.
None were more surprised by the announcement than LHS Principal Raabe.

Lions donate tractor to HorsePower

HorsePower, a local organization that provides an equestrian program/therapy for individuals with physical, emotional, and/or cognitive challenges, will find some of their work a little easier now—thanks to the donation of a tractor by Zone 6 Lions Clubs from Lennox, Tea, Freeman, Canistota and Viborg. 
The idea for the donation came about when Lennox High School student Ethan Zimmerman spent time volunteering at HorsePower as part of an International Lions Club Camp experience.  His job, said Kaia Kloster, the Executive Director of HorsePower, was to help pick up rocks. Zimmerman wondered right away why they didn’t have a tractor to help with the job.
