News preview for Jan. 3 issue…

First responders attend to accident, fires 

The end of the year has been a busy time for the local first responders.
According to Lennox Police Chief Orv Jorgensen, Lincoln County Deputy Aaron Bartscher was heading to work from Lennox on Dec. 20 when he saw a car speeding on 3rd Ave.  The driver of the Audi sped down 3rd Avenue, drove across the front lawn and into a house on the east side of Ash St.

Wallenstein steps down as Worthing Fire Chief

George Wallenstein has  stepped down as Worthing Fire Chief after 32 years. Even though he will no longer be chief, he has accepted the position of president  on the  corporate board and will help out with training.
