Russ Nelson resigns as Lennox Police Chief

Following an executive session that began at 6:30 p.m., the council opened the October meeting to the public at about 7:20 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 9.
Minutes, claims and the payroll reports were approved. No visitors were present to be heard. David Schonhardt, business manager, presented the financial reports. Documentation was received to pay off the SRF loans. Completed audits were also received.  The report was approved.

First English Lutheran celebrates 100 year anniversary

On Sunday, Oct. 21 Lennox First English Lutheran Church and its members will culminate their 100th year celebration with former Pastor Sam Hernes returning to bring the message at both the 8:30 and 11 a.m. worship services. At 12:30 p.m. a catered banquet will be held at the Middle School gymnasium, followed by a short program. Choir Director Leslie Fylling has invited members and former members to join  a  “100th Anniversary Choir.” A special rehearsal for the choir will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, followed by a light supper and a time of reminiscing and fellowship.
