School board to let bids for administration building/old football field

Lennox School Board members met on Monday night. After approving the previous minutes, financial claims and reports, Superintendent Robert Mayer discussed how testing will change as the state moves away from the No Child Left Behind Step Testing. Students will still have to take a test, but the test will be changing as the state  moves to develop a student assessment system aligned to the Common Core State Standards.

District 6 candidates speak on education at Debate

On Monday, September 24, three House candidates and the two Senate candidates spoke over several important issues at Lennox High School.  Despite a very low turn-out the candidates were able to clarify their positions on issues ranging from education, business, farming, and senior citizens. This is the first in a series looking at the candidate’s positions.
