City to begin ‘smoke testing’ on sewer system

At last week’s Lennox council meeting, the board approved hiring Stockwell Engineers to complete a sewer survey.  To begin, the engineers will be conducting a smoke test of the City’s sanitary sewer system.Beginning on Monday, Aug. 27 work crews will begin a “smoke test” to help crews in locating breaks and defects in the sewer system.

Survey recipients reminded to return surveys

Anyone who received an income survey from the City of Lennox is encouraged to fill it out and send it back to the City as soon as possible. These surveys are the first part of a process to see if the City qualifies for a Community Development Block Grant. All surveys will be kept confidential.
